8, 2008 The Nuv Yug Cultural Organization is presenting India Fest 2008: Your Gate Way to India at the J.S. Dorton Arena, State Fairgrounds on Saturday March 8, 12-9 pm and Sunday March 9, 1-6 pm. India Fest 2008 will be a spectacular exposition of South Asian culture, and an excellent opportunity for the Triangle community to discover Indian cultural arts through a dazzling array of dance and music. India Fest Features an exquisite theme based exhibition, a traditional crafts bazaar, and delicious cultural cuisine. The theme of this year's India Fest is "Sacred Knot". The two-day program will include various performances by local dance groups, vocalists and musicians of all ages as well as several professional performances. There will be a live feature performances on both days. The Triangle is home to more than 20,000 families of South Asian decent. As our community grows and becomes more diverse, education and understanding of our different cultures needs to be a vital part of our community. The last India Fest attracted more than 6,500 people making it a very successful event and a great opportunity to bring our diverse community even closer in mutual understanding and respect.
